Introduction
Mo Willems is one of the most beloved children’s book authors. His books are known for their humor and wit, and they’ve received numerous awards. I’m a parent myself, and my favorite books to read with my daughter are Mo Willem’s books. They’re clever, funny, and full of memorable characters and scenes that stick with you long after you close the book. So if you’re looking for some great reads or just want to learn more about Mo Willem himself—without spoilers!—read on!

This is the first book in the Knuffle Bunny series and it’s about a little girl named Trixie who has a stuffed animal named Knuffle Bunny. One day, Trixie’s mom accidentally leaves Knuffle Bunny on the subway. Trixie goes on a quest to find him, but she gets sidetracked by her friends and other things along the way.
The story is funny, sad and sweet all at once–just like real life!

You’re probably familiar with this book, as it’s one of Mo Willems’ most popular. In it, a pigeon finds a hot dog and decides to take it home with him. He gets scolded by his mother but still sneaks the hot dog into his nest so he can eat it later when she’s gone.
The next day at school, the pigeon is sad because he wants so badly to eat his hot dog–and then suddenly: an opportunity! A bus driver leaves his seat for just long enough for the pigeon to sneak behind him and drive off in style! The other animals are shocked at first but quickly get used to having their new friend around (and even enjoy riding on top).
When evening comes around again though…well…you’ll just have to read about what happens next yourself!

If you want to read a good book, I recommend Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! by Mo Willems. This book is funny because of all of its funny illustrations and jokes. It’s also a good book because it teaches kids how to not let pigeons drive buses.

The book is about an elephant who tries to eat a hat. He has a lot of fun with it, but the hat doesn’t like being eaten and wants to go home. The elephant won’t let it go because he likes having something in his mouth, so he keeps eating and eating until…he explodes!
It’s hilarious! Kids love this one because there are pictures of an exploding elephant all over the pages, which makes for some great storytime fun!

In We Are in a Book! (the first book in Willems’ series of Elephant and Piggie books), a boy and girl find themselves trapped inside a book by an author who doesn’t want them to leave.
They try to get help from other characters in the story, but none of them are able to help them escape. Eventually, they decide that they need to go straight to the source: The Author himself!
After following his advice on how to get out of this predicament–and making some mistakes along the way–our heroine learns something valuable about herself: She can do anything she sets her mind too
